What does “Invalid SIM” mean?

The phone or network cannot accept the current SIM credentials.

Common causes

  • Inactive or damaged SIM
  • Carrier lock
  • Account or activation issue

What to try first

  1. Restart the phone
  2. Reseat the SIM while powered off
  3. Contact the carrier using its official support channel

What not to do

  • Do not trim or modify a SIM
  • Do not repeatedly enter unknown codes
Stop if the phone is unsafe
