Privacy policy
This notice describes the current GetMyUnlock website architecture. Final operator information and appropriate owner/legal review are required before commercial launch.
Information you submit
If you use the IMEI checker, the 15-digit identifier is validated in your browser and sent by HTTPS directly to the lookup endpoint. It is not placed in the URL or browser storage. Only the masked lookup result is held briefly in browser session storage, then removed when the results page opens.
Lookup providers
No external IMEI provider is enabled by default. If one is added, this policy must be updated before activation to identify the provider, purpose, processing location, retention, safeguards, and available choices.
Logs and retention
The application is designed not to intentionally log or retain full IMEIs. Hosting and security providers may process ordinary request information such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and requested paths. Public paths do not contain IMEIs. Retention periods for any production hosting logs must be documented after the owner selects and configures the production services.
Analytics, advertising, and cookies
GetMyUnlock is prepared to use Google Analytics 4 to measure page views and a limited set of site interactions, and Google AdSense to display advertising. Both services are disabled by default and their scripts are blocked unless the owner enables them for production and you grant the corresponding consent. Analytics event parameters use an allowlist and reject IMEIs, email addresses, and URLs containing query or fragment values. Page-view measurement uses the canonical path without search parameters. GetMyUnlock does not send a submitted IMEI, lookup response, name, email address, or phone number to Google Analytics or AdSense.
If enabled with consent, Google may receive ordinary browser and network information and may use cookies or similar storage for measurement or advertising under Google's own terms. Advertising is kept separate from unlock, share, search, and video controls. Declining advertising does not restrict site content or tools.
Consent and privacy choices
The privacy interface offers separate choices for analytics, advertising, and embedded media. Necessary storage records the choice, its version, and the time it was updated; it contains no account or device identifier. Non-essential categories default to denied. Use the “Privacy choices” control in the footer to review or change the choice at any time. Rejecting non-essential technologies leaves core guides, search, manual device selection, and navigation available.
YouTube videos
Selected guides may later offer optional YouTube how-to videos. The player uses youtube-nocookie.com and is not loaded until a visitor grants embedded-media consent and presses play. Playback then creates a connection to YouTube/Google, which may receive network and browser information under its own privacy terms. No IMEI is added to a video URL or parameter.
Security
GetMyUnlock uses technical measures intended to reduce unnecessary collection and public exposure, including masked lookup results, no-store responses for the private lookup flow, input validation, and restrictive browser headers. No internet service can promise absolute security.
External links
Carrier, manufacturer, source, video, and sharing links open third-party services with their own privacy practices. Share URLs contain only the public guide address, never an IMEI.
Your choices and rights
Do not submit an IMEI that you are not authorized to use. Applicable privacy rights and request procedures depend on the verified operator jurisdiction and the visitor's location; those provisions must be finalized once the owner supplies accurate legal information.
