Phone warning explained

What does “Moisture Detected” mean?

The phone has disabled wired charging because it detected moisture or conductive debris near the port.

Common causes

  • Actual moisture
  • Condensation
  • Debris or a damaged cable/port

What to try first

  1. Disconnect the cable
  2. Power down if safe
  3. Let the port dry naturally in a ventilated place

What not to do

  • Do not use heat or compressed air
  • Do not insert metal or pour liquid into the port
Stop if the phone is unsafe

Disconnect power and stop using a swollen, smoking, leaking, physically damaged or extremely hot phone. Contact the manufacturer or a qualified repair provider.

When support may be needed

Contact the carrier for account, SIM/eSIM, PUK, coverage or network-lock issues. Contact the manufacturer or qualified repair provider when the warning follows impact, liquid, unsafe heat or persistent built-in hardware failures.
